I not am sure if this is place to post this, however I am very concerned about an email I got this morning from mrvoip.com, this was sent to 2 different email address that I have, and both of them are contented to 3CX and have no other connection at all. How did mrvoip.com get this information from 3CX?

Hi,

I have received the same sort of mail twice, I guess.
The mail contain the next text:
It's the beginning of the year and the perfect time to plan on winning more customers, increase the efficiency or simply get that feature implemented, that you were wishing for.
For sure you either heard, used, installed or sold 3CX so far. For sure you already know that 3CX is a great software based PBX, full of features, but with a huge missing characteristic: 3CX does not customize it's product .
This is exactly why Mr.Voip exists; to listen to your 'special' request, find a way to develop it and then roll it out side by side with the 3CX Phone System instance.

WE MAKE THE IMPOSSIBLE, POSSIBLE
Mr.Voip is ready to listen to you, to brainstorm together and to discover the most painful issues you are facing right now and turn them upside down into workable solutions.
We build solutions for Call Centers, for government offices, for travel agencies, for hotels, for international multi-office firms, practically for any type of enterprise .
Personalize your 3CX Phone System and be unique with our custom developed applications.
Through the big list of options, like custom CRM integration, predictive dialler, custom softphone, agent rating, and many more, any custom development can be analyzed and rolled out. All you need to do is ask. Who knows? Maybe someone else already has it running successfully.

YOU ARE IN COMPLETE CONTROL
You get to choose from many options, build your own budget and keep all costs under full control.
Don't want to have the responsibility of maintaining the developed product? We can offer it to you as a service in the Cloud , minimizing your risks and automatically having access to the latest development and updates.

I AM WILLING TO FIND OUT MORE
Get to know Mr.Voip better. Send us a reply to this email or just click one of the links above and a sales rep will immediately get back to you.

With regards,
Mr.Voip's Sales Team

I also received the same email to multiple accounts, some of which are only associated with 3CX. Did 3CX "share" my emails with a 3rd party?

I just found this

Define "email accounts only associated with 3CX". If that account is info@your-public-domain.com or sales@your-public-domain.com or 3cx@your-public-domain.com then as you understand anyone can guess it easily.

Now if your email is [email protected] and it was used only on 3CX then that's another story.

I haven't received such email btw.

I think the whole point is that two email accounts used WITH 3CX received the same email form a company selling 3CX add-on products, I don't think they got the email address randomly, 3CX must have sold, given or otherwise traded this information to a 3rd party against their own policies. I have never gave them permission to do anything with my email address.

Before you jump to conclusions, I would wait for an "official" response from 3CX. I'm sure that we have all received SPAM at one time or another, and had no idea how the email address was obtained.

One of the emails was an ex-employee with an oddly spelled name. I only mentioned the email as a matter of fact since I very rarely get 3CX related emails from 3rd parties. I don't see this anything that violates my privacy or the EULA.

Thank you everyone for informing us.
