Hello there,

I am new to 3CX and so far loving the features it has to offer!.

I am in a phase to upgrade the telephone system with VOIP. 3cx was much better than other competitors.

The problem with opening ports to allow traffic in/out is worrying factor as i have read of security issues but generally, on forum many people have said they haven't faced any issues in terms of hacking.

Does having an SBC in each branch would be better option than VPN lan to lan?

I have 7 branches in total. one SBC in each branch?

Can anyone share if they configured 3cx on many branches and what setup they choose to install? plus best security method to avoid getting compromised.

Thanks.

You can hit the button to sort the firmware out from the mgmt console. If that fails then you can manually install it from

Thank you that did the trick. The ip phone is working.

One more question, I have the 3cx setup running on test environment and with VPN there was latency issue then you all recommended SBC which resolved the issue but I have to disable the windows firewall on server side for smooth connectivity.
I have added both inbound/outbound rules for 3CX app from allow app through firewall but there are many programs to add in the list.

With ports. Is 5090 more than enough for remote extension with SBC for intercom option only. No sip providers. Will not be using the soft client.
