We have an issue, where we call Person A, but 3CX shows the name of Person B.

The last 6 digits of their numbers are the same.
Person A is a 3CX contact
Person B is a CRM contact (imported from our sql server)

Even if I set "match caller ID to a contact entry" to either "match exactly" or "match at least 12 number of characters", it still shows the wrong name.

Is this a bug or do I do something wrong?

What CRM are you connected with?

@Peti is Person 's A or Person 's B number setup as a mobile number to any extension on the PBX ?

I think there is no direct connection to any CRM, it just has CRM as contact type. CRM connection is a future plan, so it only shows up as a CRM contact, but has no URL or anything.

No, the numbers only exist in the phonebook. This is how it looks like (actually the last 8 digits are the same, not just 6):

"CRM" contacts are synced from the CRM, you cannot add them manually. Therefore, there must be a CRM connected or was connected at some point.

I recommend:
1. Bulk delete CRM contacts.
2. Set matching to 10 (US/Can) or 9 (UK/EU/AU).
3. Connect your CRM to it (if supported) and use that instead. No need to check the "add contacts to 3CX phonebook" since you can now search directly from 3CX.
