Recent questions in other forums prompting question: in v20 U5, what are the current user/call limitations in SMB Free? Would like to know when making comparison with Pro/Enterprise/Multitenant.

Known:
1) Up to 10 users
2) *MUST* be *PREFERRED* SIP trunk provider
3) Support for router phones

Not clear:
1) How many physical SIP desk phones? At one time in the past, I believe there was a limit of 3 SIP desk phones, all others must be soft phones.
2) Limit on number of router phones and/or SBC's?
3) Simultaneous calls - previously seen mentioned limits of 4SC; is this current situation?
4) Limit on number of SIP trunks provisioned?

TIA

PS Any links to official 3CX page(s) documenting the items above would be helpful.

Just try by yourself, its free. But anyway, why you trying to compare smb with paid supscriptions? They cant be really compared. SMB is for really small offices who wants just a little options and the possebility to call someone. So not really some thing for 3cx partners...

I have no interest in pushing SMB, but I DO want to know the limitations when explaining to potential clients benefits/advantages of my offering on Multi-tenant or the case for Pro/Enterprise. I am asking the questions here because I really don't have 3+ SIP phones I want to setup on my network to determine the limitations - they *should be* documented, not nebulous.

I am with you, this should better documented here. We as a partner dont offer smb to any customer. The most, maybe all, customers want more stuff than smb can offer.

My interest in the questions was in regards to pricing and positioning an offering based on Multi-tenant. My preference has always been to sell at least 8SC Pro.

If you like to use/offer multi tenant, the price should cover your licence, your cost for hosting the pbx and your work to support it.

Ive tested it now for you, i tried 10 different phones at the same time and there wasnt any limit. Same for Router Phones. And you can put 10 users and 10 ringgroups or queues.

Thank you. I reached out to my 3CX rep at US distributor, and they confirmed same. Also, no limitations on simultaneous calls (other than users/trunk capacity; I doubt 10 users would all have conference calls to 3 other outside numbers at same time, but theoretically possible).

This finalizes the information I was seeking to help potential customers. I have already converted one SMB Pro to 4SC (I still have licenes left over).
