I have been reading what has been posted in the past but I am not seeing where this is being done successfully. The closest I see is are a couple posts by NickD_3CX:
"Yes, the config data including account information of the 3CX Client is stored in the AppData folder. Now if this folder is configured so that its a roaming profile and the data not erased after every log out, contrary backed up and restored upon the next login, yes, the 3CX Client should launch with each users config already in there.
If not, the 3CX client will launch bu without config information and will require the user to reload the welcome email attachment."
and
"In the V14 3CX Phone client for Windows, after you load the Provisioning File for the first time, the first time only you have to go to the menu and press 'Exit Client' option so that the account is saved."
The problems I am having are (1) The installation puts the configs in appdata/Local not Roaming, and (2) i didn't see a registration action popping up which supposedly generates an email. (3) I am not seeing any "Provisioning File" which is maybe what the registration generates?
I have been using FreePBX with an older Zoiper that does not need local installation (perfect for roaming profiles), but it has become too unreliable, so I want to change 100ish users to the impressive and stable 3CX Softphone, BUT the key to success is pretty much relying on the 3CX configs to be in the appdata/roaming
