You will need to select your EC2 instance appropriate to your specifications.

Yep. I got that. I initial launch with a similar spec and then modify after creation to something from the recommended list. Wasn't sure which was truly recommeded and didn't know if one instance type was recommended over the other.

How many phones do you plan on having?
 
@clarkjesse when you select the image, before you launch on the EC2 Instance Type section when you select the machine you want, on the side it says the specs each machine has.
Check attached screenshot.
Depending on the users and the key, you can select the one you need.

For 11-50 extensions I would move up to the t2.medium or t2.xlarge depending on how many simultaneous calls happen at once.
 
I'm setting up a terraform script to deploy our systems, so it will be different each time. I was going to put in our script different instance types based on extension numbers. I was looking to follow some recommendations from the website, so when we open tickets with 3cx they wouldn't say we're not on an unsupported instance type.
