Hello gentlemen,

Today one of our four 3CX instances failed to complete the nightly backup. The error log emailed lists the following lines:

Your 3CX backup failed due to the following reason(s):
System.Exception: System.IO.IOException: Entries cannot be created while previously created entries are still open.
at System.IO.Compression.ZipArchive.AcquireArchiveStream(ZipArchiveEntry entry)
at System.IO.Compression.ZipArchiveEntry..ctor(ZipArchive archive, String entryName)

at System.IO.Compression.ZipArchive.DoCreateEntry(String entryName, Nullable`1 compressionLevel)

at _3cxBackupRestoreImpl.BackupRestoreUtils.Backup(IFilesystem filesystem, String instanceId, String cfgPath, String dbConnectionString, BackupConfig options, String fullpathFilename, Boolean sendEmail)
at BackupRestoreSchedule.BackupJob.Execute(IJobExecutionContext context)

What could be the reason for this backup failure? All our systems are scheduled to backup to Google Drive, and the other three ones experienced no issues with backing up last night. Just in case, the questioned 3CX instance free disk space currently consists 65% or 20GB.

Thank you for response!

Hi @Leo_B,

How are you backing up to Google Drive? Do you mean Google Storage?

Hi @Leo_B,

Can you restart the system and manually try to run the backup? Do you get the same error?

Sorry for the late update: as I restarted the system, the backups have got back to normal. Yay.

Glad to hear you managed @Leo_B! If you require any further assistance, feel free to open a new thread.
