Hi there,

I'm currently testing 3CX.

I have setup a server with an OVH SIP trunk (5 channels) and 3 ip phone.

I can call inside my network but I have problems with outside calls when I try to test multiple calls :

  • I call my smartphone : it ring
  • I hang up : it stop
  • I call my smartphone : it ring
  • I hang up : it stop
  • I call my smartphone : it ring
  • I hang up : it continue to ring
  • I call my smartphone : it ring
  • I hang up : it stop
  • I call my smartphone : it ring
  • I hang up : it continue to ring
etc etc...

At a time, I cannot make outbound calls anymore and I cannot call my SIP trunk from my smartphone.

It is like my 5 channels are busy and not "released" when I terminate the call.

Then, I go to the parameters of my sip trunk, I change the registar adress by a false adress then I replace the correct adress (to force him to register again).

And after that, I can make inbound & outbound calls with no problems for some tests then the problem came back...

Can someone help me ? I dont know where to search and I have crawled all the panels in my 3CX : I can't found nothing :(

Best regards from Belgium (and sorry for my lack of english :p)

Hi,

does 3CX pass firewall test?

Are you using a supported SIP trunk provider?

Sounds to be somethings happening at the sip trunk provider end - Have you asked them to check your account?

Have you checked 3CX event logs for any trunk related errors?

Hello,

You can start by setting going to Activity Log settings and increasing the logging to Verbose mode.

The logs might show you some information when you make a call that is unsuccessful.

Ensure that the firewall check passes, and all ports are open as needed by the system

Since OVH is a supported provider, ensure that you used our built in template when adding your trunk (it's under France).

Hi there,

A little update :

I've done some new tests with a better internet connexion (xDSL instead of a 4G router).

It seems to work better but I have (one time) this message and a loss of connection :

Call or Registration to OVH has failed. sip:0032***@siptrunk.ovh.be:5060 replied: 500 Registering glare condition; from IP:***:5060

Does it help you ?

Here, the firewall test is passed.

Regards,

Hi MksBe

You did not mention the 4G router in your original post, that's can be a source of failure since we are talking about a wireless network solution where some loss is to be expected so the behavior you saw on the original post can be somewhat explained.

DSL should indeed be a better solution (provided the copper quality is good). Error 500 you saw usually means an error from the provider side, but you would have to ask them for more details. It probably means that your PBX re-registered at some point without the provider seeing it de-registering first, and should not be a cause for alarm if it was a one-off especially if it may have happened during the time you were still on 4G.

Hi there.

Indeed, with my dsl connection, it work better !

The error 500 is caused by my tests : I've done too much registration to the ovh server...

Thanks for your support !
