3CX TLS secure SIP trunk with Telnyx

Hi Guys,
according to documentation Telnyx should support TLS with 3CX. I didn't find any documentation how to setup secure SIP trunk. Can anyone help?

I swear I posted a response to this. 3CX supports what is in the template. If TLS is not in the template, it's not 3CX supported. If you really want to use TLS with Telynx you'll want to talk to them about how to configure it as you'll need to work with them to troubleshoot anyways if it doesn't work. But typically you would just need to change the protocol (UDP->TLS) and the port (5060->5061) which are TLS defaults

Telnyx does work with TLS but the guide is not ready yet because for TLS to work you need a .pem certificate from Telnyx. The one that was provided by Telnyx did not work and its due to expire in May so we are waiting to see if the updated certificate will work. We did manage to get ti to work with a different certificate but not one we can provide.

Not sure that TLS will ever be the default selection in the template because people may not want it or may not want the trouble to maintain it. TLS support will be added in individual provider guides so that if someone wants to activate it he can follow the instructions.

This can be very important due to HIPAA regulations. If we can not provide encrypted trunk than some one can intercept communication.

TLS is not required for HIPAA compliance. This is why so few services offer TLS because no one requires it so folks aren't going to invest the time/money to do so unless it makes business sense.
