I have a bit of a weird one. We have 2 different 3CX systems that we are trying to connect by either a Generic SIP trunk or via a Bridge. I am able to connect the call without issue with both methods. The issue is, it is passing the incorrect caller ID to the receiving system. We need the originator caller ID passed through to the system.

For example, a call comes in from a mobile phone into System 1 on inbound trunk A. System 1 dials a outbound rule either over bridge or generic sip trunk into system 2. When system 2 receives the call, depending on the settings that we set, we are receiving either the main trunk number from System 1, the outbound DID from the user, or nothing but the ICR in the CID.

What we need is the originating mobile number from outside dialed to system 1 passed as the CID to system 2.

Typically these calls will be coming through a CFD IVR or through a pre-programmed BLF transfer. Presence would be a nice to have with the bridge functionality, but the outside CID is more important, so if it is not possible with bridge, a SIP trunk would be fine.

Essentially long story short, we want to be able to get calls into one systems and retain the original caller information, specifically for the ability to have the system advertise QCB's with the correct number.

Bridge should work just fine, even the Caller ID thing. We do that all the time.

The bridge will also give you presence. Note that you need a Pro or Enterprise for that tho. Bridges are not available in Standard.
