I am trying to integrate a demo 3CX cloud PBX instance with an existing Zoom room that we have for SIP calling. I can see that other people on this forum have been able to achieve this, but I cannot find any details anywhere on how to go about doing this.

Can any other users out there advise where I locate the account credentials in 3CX that I can input into the Zoom Rooms config? Below are the fields it asks for, with the starred ones being mandatory.

Transport protocol
User Name*
Domain
Password
Authorization Name*
Registrar Server*
Proxy Server
Registration expiry (minutes)
DTMF/RFC2833 payload type

I never done this but it seems like you need to create an extension for the Zoom Room and then register the room into 3CX using that extension.

In that case, you registrar server would be the 3CX host (either FQDN or IP if static). Username is extension, authorization is auth ID in 3CX, and password well, is password.

I recommend you put the registration expiration to 2min during your testing then increase it once done.

Are you trying to register to 3CX (an extension), or the other way around? Is this for simply one voice connection, or a two way trunk (multiple calls), type, set-up?

It would be an extension registering to the 3CX. Doesn't need to be a trunk to support multiple calls if the checkbox is enabled.

I would test this way first.

Thank you. I sincerely thought I had tried this exactly as you had described, but it has worked after following your advice. I'll now add a trial SIP trunk to my trial 3CX account to complete the demo setup I am building.

But why do you prefer to fork out additional $ when you can use 3CX webmeeting free of charge?
v16 has Audio-Dial In option build in.

Fair question. We are creating a demo equipment environment set up. I am setting this up as we have zoom room and do not want to have to close the zoom room to then have to run 3CX.

I have now hit a further problem whereby I have the Zoom Room registered against an extension on our account and a SIP trunk also registered, but I still cannot make any outbound calls. Inbound calls work fine however.

You might need to check your Outbound rules.

I have checked all of the outbound rules and cannot see anything that would be preventing calls.

Check the 3CX Activity log for one of the attempted calls. What error do you see? If you can't interpret, then post the log. ."X" out your public IP, (or other personal information) if it shows in the log.
