Good afternoon 3cx forum members/3cx team,
Long story short, as active directory integration that is currently provided falls short of our teams requirements. We are looking to see if anyone has been able to automate the MACD process for user/extensions.
I know 3cx is currently working on a new AD/O365 integration module and hopefully once that is released we can use it instead of a script. The best way I can think of implementing this is to incorporate the 3cx on/offboarding to our powershell script we use internally for user MACD processes.
Long story short, the easiest way I can think of doing this is by having a script manually upload the csv file to 3cx with the user name/extension information etc on account creation, for deletion I'm assuming I would need to find a way to send a command through the server, or commandline to delete the user accounts once removed from AD.
The reason we cant use the current system is that it does not allow us to specify which extension to begin with. we are in the process of migrating from Cisco's phone system (uccm,uccx etc.) and already have phone extensions in place for individual users and require them to be migrated as part of the process of changing phone systems.
I thought I would ask the 3cx community for their input as maybe someone has done this in the past, or might know of an easier way to perform the above.
