Team,

Our resort has moved from an old MITEL system to our new 3CX system. We've already had 2 hospitality interface sessions with Oracle and both technicians state the format of our records coming from the 3CX are not the correct format.

Even though the 3CX System is set to “Fidelio” = FIAS (Fidelio Interface Application Specification) per Oracle's request, they still mentioned that it's not coming over as FIAS. Shown down below, I’ve pasted some examples of what Oracle says the call records should look like and what it’s currently coming in as…

We've tried changing from Fidelio to MITEL and the records still come across as if we never changed anything within the 3CX back-end. Also, we've checked the options, in terms of formatting for both MITEL/FIAS within 3CX and there is only an option to remove comma-delimiters or length of expected records sent.

I guess my question to support is..
  • Do these record examples look correct to you?
  • Has the CDR string formats changed in any of the 3CX software updates?

Reason I ask, is because the examples Oracle gave me of the "correct format" are time stamped 2009. I'm wondering if Oracle's IFC parser just isn't up-to-date with maybe a CDR format change 3CX may have made in a recent patch?

Hello @LoganF,

It seems that you are sending CDRs. However, the FIAS interface is not the CDR interface. You need to go to the 3CX Console > Settings > Hotel Services > Enable PMS Integration, select Fidelio, and enter the IP address and port number of your Fidelio server.

Also, please disable CDRs, or send them to text files, instead of sending them to the fidelio server via socket.

Kind regards.

@edossantos

That is exactly what we've been doing and we've selected Fedelio or MITEL and we receive those types of records and we aren't sure why. Image attached of our 3CX PMS Setup

I can't see the screenshot... You need to configure it as Fidelio, NOT Mitel. If it doesn't work, check the Hotel Service log from your server, you might get some clues from there...

@edossantos

I've updated my last post with the imgur link showing it's on Fiedelio and correct IP/Port. We've checked the logs before and not to much showing but does your company offer Tier 2 or Tier 3 Hotel integration support and what does that cost per hour?

OK, now I see the screenshot. Looks correct. Check that the 3CX Hotel Module service has been installed and running. Also check the Hotel Module log after making a call with charge. Ensure that you have configured the billing information, otherwise calls will be considered free and they will not be sent to your PMS:
https://www.3cx.com/docs/billing-interface/

When you make test calls, ensure that you make calls to external numbers. An internal call is always free and will not be notified.

@edossantos

I'll have our vendor check those things within the 3CX system but for your own notes, we need internal calls to also be sent to the PMS. For example, when our Housekeeping cleans the room, they go to the room phone and type *86 etc which needs to be sent to the Opera IFC Interface that collects the data, parses it, then sent into Opera to change the status from Clean to Dirty or vice versa. Basically we want to charge for billing but also need the Dial Made function to work.

Thanks,
LoganF

Maid status uses a different message. You use dial codes for that:
https://www.3cx.com/docs/pbx-dial-codes/#h.3563xera2eph

And the status change is sent to fidelio according to the specification.

But that's not the "Posting Simple" message, which is used for call charge. Call charge is only sent for external calls, which need to be paid by the guest.
