3CX v18 Debian on Hyper-V - Disk expansion

Does the 3CX v18 Debian running on Hyper-V automatically see the disk expansion? I increased the disk from 80GB to 100GB in Hyper-V. However, noticed that the 3CX does not appear to update the available diskspace increase. Doesn't the Debian OS automatically detect the VM size change? How do I get the Debian OS to see the new disk size? Thanks.

The available disk size does increase, but you need to also expand the partition.

This isn't such a 3CX-related topic, more of a Debian-related one, so I am a bit reluctant to give out instrucitons, but if you google how to expand the partition, I am sure you will find many results.

One piece of advice though, take a 3CX backup and download it and maybe even make a snapshot in case things go wrong (when expanding partitions, occassionally they do...)

Yup, I thought so too but reluctant to try out partition utilities just in case.
Am I correct that if we used the 3CX windows VM, it would automatically see the disk increase? Previously I was running the windows version and I think I was able to resize without issues.

No, you would need to expand the volume/partition to the rest of the disk.
