3CX V18 Desktop App

Manual install via command line..

msiexec.exe /i "3CXDesktop*.msi" ALLUSERS=1 /qn /norestart /log 3cxoutput.log

(same method with v16 - I usually will use pstools for quick installs - but powershell would be a more reliable method to install from a url location on the network)
only issue I had
was popup looking for Firewall Profile to allow

Domain / Private? / Public? / Bathroom?
whatever (ok so there is really only 3 choices)

Beyond that Only issue is account / Ext Switching..

desktop app and mobile pretty easy to switch accounts...

Not seeing the option in the new App....

As mentioned in the thread you linked, there indeed is no option within the App to switch accounts. I'll send you a PM with more info regarding the post you're referring to.

saw in another thread that says where its installed..

%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\3CXDesktopApp
this is where mine is installed..

since there is no way to provision / change provisioning..
will see if I can remove a config file to be able to reprovision under another ext...

exit 3cx desktop
config.json - rename to config.json.bak or config.json.<client/ext>
re-open desktop app will tell you to go provision it...

that seems to work...

my test currently now can exit the client and change the json after provisioning a few of them to other ext even on different systems without any issue.

if I need to quickly change - just exit client
rename json to one already provisioned and restart...
