Dear Forum,

Things are different now with v18.
I understand that repo's are limited to avoid breaking the system.
How can I install snmpd without adding a repo (which I don't want).
Thank you in advance for your help and understanding.

Kind regards,
J.

J,

Did you ever figure this out? We'd like to monitor our 3CX Servers via SNMP with PRTG. But, I don't want to add a repo in order to install snmpd. Just curious if you ever figured anything out.

Note, selecting 'snmpd' instead of '/tmp/snmpd_5.9.3+dfsg-2_amd64.deb'
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
snmpd : Depends: libc6 (>= 2.34) but 2.28-10+deb10u2 is to be installed
Depends: libsnmp40 (= 5.9.3+dfsg-2) but it is not installable
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

WHY ?
thk you!
