Hey

We are using Fuse2 as a trunk and number freedom/spoofing is enabled their end. In V18 if we forward a call to a call handling service for example (external number) it would forward the original caller ID. I can see we have less options in V20 and it forwards my trunk number instead.

Can anybody suggest what combination to try next on the caller ID controls under the trunk to do this?

From : Display Name
"OriginatorCallerID" Original Caller number will be sent
Remote Party ID - Calling Party : Display Name
Default
P-Asserted Identity : Display Name
Default

I also posted this on another thread.

Caller ID passthrough can be sent by 3CX. The SIP field entry for sending the Original Caller's ID is "OriginatorCallerId"

However, it is solely and entirely up to the provider to accept this.

Many providers do not allow you to send a caller ID that is not assigned to your account to prevent spoofing, and/or fraud attempts.

What may happen if a "foreign" caller ID is sent to a provider that does not allow CLIP No screening:

1. Reject the call outright
2. Send the call out with "Anonymous" as the Caller ID
3. Send the call out with a random Caller ID from their pool (This may even be a number from a different country)
4. Send out your main account number (usually your main trunk number) as the Caller ID.

Generally, if you have any caller ID issues, please contact your SIP Provider.

Based on our list of supported providers Fuse2 does NOT support sending someone else's Caller ID

Hey Nicholas

Thanks for the reply. Fuse2 was forwarding correctly on v18 and they themselves confirm they have CID freedom (whatever they called it) enabled on my trunk.

I can see I had
From : User Part and
Remote Party ID - Calling Party : User Part both set to originatorcallerid on v18 and it worked but we don't have that option on V20 unless its hidden within the sip trunk config?

Thanks!

Any modifications further to what we have in the options tab of the provider would require to export the template and modify it accordingly.

Just to clarify, in V18 you also require to change the parameters to get this working?

I changed them in outbound settings yes but those parameters aren't readily available in v20. I assume they will be exposed eventually? Unless the free version I am testing has been neutered but the paid versions of v20 would have these outbound settings?

In V20 there are only specific parameters that can be modified:

Is there is something further that is required, you can export the sip trunk, edit accordingly and import.

Ah I think free also doesn't allow export/import when testing it is greyed out

Are you in Free SMB?

I have just updated on my paid one too so I can see the difference.

Just trying to figure out how to export a trunk, edit and reimport

Is this a 3CX Hosted or SMB installation?
