hy,
we have 3x v20 u3 and a local mcu configured.
a test meeting worked fine.
I wanted to ask if it is possible to write "Troubleshooting File" for every meeting on the local MCU
So I can have a look if some users complain bad quality for instance.
BR

and another question, regarding updates of the local mcu/debian 12
how do I know if there is a update for the local mcu?
debian updates need to be done by myself?

We can't allow telemetry logging to be on for all meetings as it's a mode that consumes a lot of resources.

You either need to go through the steps found in the "Self Test" diagnostic page OR manually add this at the end of your meeting URL: ?telemetry=true

So it would look like this: https:www.mypbx.com/meet/jg90J0sdjasH8809dufdfhj0d9h?telemetry=true

There is an automatic update cronjob added to your system to ensure the MCU itself is up to date which runs once a week on a specific day and time meant to avoid disruptions.

You may also update your MCU just by doing an apt-get update and upgrade if there's a new package available.

ok, i understand
but when i add ?telemetry=true the file is downloaded to the end users device, correct?

thats good that you upgrade the 3cx package itself.
1730800484324.pngcrontab:
0 1 * * 0 cd /opt ; /usr/bin/apt update ; /usr/bin/apt -y upgrade 3cx-* >/dev/null 2>&1
but what about operating system upgrades?
is it safe to install debian updates? at the pbx this is not allowed

Hi, yes it's safe to update system packages. As long as the VM is fully reserved for just the MCU and you don't have any other software that could conflict, updating your system is totally fine.

Hi @FragFranz , one more detail... for you own security, package unattended-upgrades is installed together with MCU. This ensures you always get latest security updates for system packages.
