Hi everyone, I have a problem with 3cx v20 pro on premises and gigaset n670 ip pro.
when I connect the gigaset I start to have problems with the audio of calls from ALL IP phones, when I make an outgoing call after 10 seconds the called customer stops hearing me while I hear him (always with all phones), the same thing happens with incoming calls but not always and after a variable period that goes beyond 40 seconds.
when I unplug the gigaset the problem goes away after about 10 minutes.

has this ever happened to anyone? I tried both the gigaset 2.54 and 2.57 firmware and it always gives me the same problem.

how can I solve it?
Thank
Lorenzo

Hi Lorenzo.
You mentioned the outbound calls, does it mean calls via the Trunk?
If you call an internal extension between them, do you face the same issue?

Hi, yes for now the call of the voip Trunk , also the inbound sometimes .
Today i’m going to test the internal extension.

Let us know how it goes.

Hi, I tried to change the provisioning from fqdn to ip and for now it seems to work with both internal and external calls.
It's still strange to me that the problem affected all IP phones.

I'll keep you updated

thanks so much again
Lorenzo

Reading your previous posts , It seems you don't use split DNS ? don't you?

Hi, I have pfsense and I use split dns

Does FQDN resolve on LAN PBX IP ?

Sounds like you have a networking issue there.

Yes and all’ the ip phone are working with no problems, only when I connect the gigaset the issue start.
For now leaving the gigaset with ip provisioning seems to work.

The solutions for now is to provision the gigaset with the ip. The internal dns is solved well by all clients, it makes me think that gigaset uses external dns even if not insert in the settings .
Since I changed the provisioning method everything is fine and the problem has been solved.

So in the logs of the device, you saw that it was not resolving to the local DNS but the public one?

Hi, sorry if I didn't reply immediately;
I couldn't see anything from the gigaset logs, for now with IP it still seems to work.
the only problem was with a restart of the 3cx because the problem occurred again and I also had to restart the cells to solve it.

Hi Lorenzo and thank you for the update and feedback here.
Maybe you can see this issue in more detail with the support team of the vendor of your DECT station.

Hi,
I can confirm that if the 3cx is restarted the gigaset cells give problems until they are turned off and on again, I tried to create a reboot cron job but the software reboot causes the problem again and you have to restart them by turning them off from the power.

I'm thinking of switching to Snom M900 hoping they don't cause any problems.

Did you try contacting Gigaset team and get them on to check your issue?

Hi, yes I am talking to the dealer because GIGASET does not offer direct support.
For now I didn't get any results, initially they said it was an issue that 3CX had to solve. Let's see how it goes on.
Sorry if I'm only answering now and thank you very much again for the help.
Lorenzo

I've been using since June 1st two dect yealink phones that we had as a spare and for now there is no problem and everything works as it always did before the gigasets

See how it goes, and if you can get information from gigaset and take it from there.
