Hi everyone, I have a problem with 3cx v20 pro on premises and gigaset n670 ip pro.
when I connect the gigaset I start to have problems with the audio of calls from ALL IP phones, when I make an outgoing call after 10 seconds the called customer stops hearing me while I hear him (always with all phones), the same thing happens with incoming calls but not always and after a variable period that goes beyond 40 seconds.
when I unplug the gigaset the problem goes away after about 10 minutes.

has this ever happened to anyone? I tried both the gigaset 2.54 and 2.57 firmware and it always gives me the same problem.

how can I solve it?
Thank
Lorenzo

Well I don't know which country you are located , but in France Gigaset offers support
I’m in Italy and on the website they told that you have to ask to the dealer.
I will try to contact gigaset directly
Thanks

See how it goes, and if you can get information from gigaset and take it from there.
gigaset said to continue assistance with the reseller who responded to me with the following message:
Good afternoon

I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner.

We looked into the problem.

The tech support team told us that it is most likely a port issue. (SIP PORTS)

Check in the SIP port configuration that the Gigaset ports are different from the Yealink ones.

We are waiting for these checks.

Hi there.
I am not sure, but at that point they will need to tell you how did they conclude that related to the SIP ports?

Lorenzo, out of curiosity can you advise if your phones are on the same LAN as the PBX, or if they are behind an internal NAT(if you have double NAT there?)?

Me too, I also provided more information and they replied that they will ask support for more information.
As soon as I have news I'll update you

Thanks
Lorenzo

both 3cx and phones are on the same lan, the firewall on the wan has a public IP and there are no routers between the lan and the firewall; same thing between the firewall and the internet.

In other words, your DECT and PBX are in the same subnet and they both communicate directly over the switch, and does not have to go via your local firewall?

exactly, they are connected directly from the same switch and do not have to go through the firewall

That's a good news, so you don't have double NAT adventure there :)

Double nat should be made illegal :)

Support responded to me and wants me to change the rtp ports by putting the same range as the 3cx, which is strange to me.
What do you think?
The email:
Good afternoon.

The N670's RTP port range starts at 5004 by default; you can change it so that the interval starts with that of the PBX. To do this, upload the attached configuration file to Settings > System > Provisioning & Configuration, then press the Start Automatic Configuration button.

<provisioning version="1.1" productID="e2">
<nvm>
<param name="dm.local.RtpBasePort" value="7000"/>
</nvm>
</provisioning>

At this point, you can give it a try and see the outcome and how it goes, as you can always revert the settings back.

As soon as I can I'll go to the site and try even though it's very strange to me that putting the same rtp ports as the 3cx will solve something.
As soon as I have news I'll update you.

Indeed, and not sure how it can be related but at least you can give them feedback later on and see what is next.

their configuration file is completely wrong and configures only one rtp port, you cannot have simultaneous calls.

Does it mean you find the source of the issue and resolved it?

Nope, the configuration file they gave me as a test is wrong.
The only thing I noticed when doing a packet capture (but I don't know if I'm right or wrong) is that the gigaset cells contact the 3cx URL even if they are configured to provision via IP.

another particular thing that I have seen done continuously only with gigasets:

218 11.633151 Gigaset_IP 3CX_IP ICMP 242 Destination unreachable (Port unreachable)

1954 19.813927 3CX_IP Gigaset_IP ICMP 242 Destination unreachable (Port unreachable)

So registration is ok right?
Not sure about ICMP there, and what exactly happening here, and not able to reach the port.
