Solved 3CX Webclient is refreshing every few seconds

Hi there!

I have a strange problem with a user. She is using the Webclient with Mozilla Firefox (latest version), like more colleagues. It started today all of the sudden this webpage to be refreshed every few seconds. As an addition information, when the user is on another page of the WebClient (eg. in "/chat"), then after the first refresh the browser brought her back in the page /people. The automatic refresh is happening every 4-5 seconds, no matter on which sub-page the user is.

I tried to find a solution before I write a new thread in Forums, but the following threads I found didn't really help me:

I also restarted the browser and then the computer itself. I also cleaned the cache of the browser. Nothing!

This problem doesn't happen on any other tab of the browser (!!!) and it also not happening on other browsers! Meaning that the user can work with 3CX Webclient fine on Microsoft Edge for example.

Any ideas to this strange problem?

Hi @apistsos,

Does the user have any 3rd party extensions installed on Firefox?

What version of Firefox is installed? Have you tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it?

Hi @VasilisV_3CX!

The user hasn't changed anything and the problem appears all of the sudden today!

The user has the version 97.0.2 (64-bit) installed and the browser had a few plugins installed. These are:

• OpenH264-Videocode zur Verfügung gestellt von Cisco System, Inc.
• Widevine Content Decryption Module zur Verfügung gestellt von Google

I didn't try to uninstall the Mozilla Firefox, because I didn't think that it would make any difference. But I did it just now and it looks like that this was the solution on my problem, as it did the trick!
