3CX Webmeeting V14 Not Working

So upgrade or go through support just to edit or delete a extension, ridiculous. I have a handful i need to get rid of but i guess i'll just wait.

That (support) was a dead end.

"Please note that Since the 1st of September 2017 v14 is no longer supported, The only way to fix this and be able to manipulate extensions is to upgrade to v15 and also regain support."

I don't have any installations that actually use or rely on webmeeting. It's just a piece of fluff that will never get used in real life blue collar nuts and bolts businesses. I'd be willing to bet that a lot of businesses don't use it. It's a shame to have it wreck a decent product in this way.

We have multiple branches so we use it for screen sharing for education and for product meetings. All of a sudden it stops working and i get thrown under the bus because "I should have known." I have found an alternative but it's not integrated so i get to deal with a mess of phone calls and emails to get everyone back up to speed. Either way taking away part of extension management is ridiculous, disable the web service, but don't cripple the pbx server in the process.

Now i needed to decided if i start building an asterisk server or renew maintenance next month with 3cx. They do not provide support unless you pay, so that's not a reason to force people off v14. There is no benefits for us to upgrade so it's bs we are being pushed into it, especially with no notice. Letting partners know is not enough, for some of use the partner was just someone to buy a license from, they don't provide us information. Hell are they going to time bomb our installs next if we don't upgrade?

Yeah, I have an installation in a single branch of a national 10 branch org; they are evaluating for a possible enterprise wide deployment. But this incident where the extensions suddenly cannot be managed anymore has them spooked, and has been great ammo for those that favor solutions other than 3CX.

I Bet, it's not very reassuring to have your pbx crippled without a heads up. I have been very happy with 3cx until this, I had planned to upgrade to v15 over the winter but at this point the effort might be put into another option entirely.
