did you apply , ok after changes, it works like that with no problem on mine
have you restarted 3cx client after change?

Hi, when i save the changes in phone provisioning from Fanvil to client it reverts back and will not hold, restarting the client or PC reverts it back, if you are running it on a device with a headset, microphone and speakers there is no issue, when it says no microphone installed that is when you seem to have issues.

Do you want the app to always start in CTI mode?

I entered the MC, edited extension 3CX app behavior and selected IP phone
I launched the app and it auto provisioned as soon as it launched and witched to CTI mode automatically
I disabled all audio devices on my PC to replicate what you said (when no mic)

The app behaved correctly in both cases, no issue here at all. I disconnected the deskphone from the network and waited for the extension to turn red in the MC (no phones/clients registered) and again it remained in CTI with "No Phone connected" so it behaves well here again.

What version is you pbx and what version is your desktop app?

Can you please check the app version too just to be sure?

It's under Advanced Settings > About

Version 16.0.1.81

Thanks

Ok I have tested it here with the same PBX and app versions, and it keeps the settings as expected.

I set the extension to IP Phone in management console, send new welcome email with fresh config file for the extension and it stays in CTI always. Even after closing the app completely and restarting it, even if there is no mic or no phone attached on the network..

Also please check that reprovision on startup is enabled in the management console under 3CX app settings of the extension, and also here in the desktop client:

Hi,

I have tried this and had no luck, it seems to happen on my own PC, do you need a mic and speakers installed for it to work, does it fail because it says no microphone installed

Thanks for your help so far.

Hi Steven

Actually, it should remain in softclient mode even if there are no audio devices detected.

I confirmed this via provisioning from the management console.

Can you please test the following? Set up the app as you like, then instead of logging off the PC, just right click the app and "Exit". Relaunch the app again and see if the settings are now saved.

The setting does not hold, it revert back to the softphone and does not stay on CTI

Ok once we check the management console, and ensure that the extension is set to IP phone like so:

11569

Then press ok to save, and send yourself a new Welcome email.

Now delete any accounts in your 3CX app so we can start fresh, and exit the app.

In the Welcome Email there will be a new .3cxconfig file. You can view the file in notepad and will see that there is a parameter towards the end called <UseCTI>true</UseCTI> which will indicate that the client should be in CTI mode.

Now close notepad (without saving) and launch the config file to provision your client. The client should launch and register and You should now have the desired result. If you exit the app normally, and relaunch it, it must remain in CTI as you intended
