Hello eng5ald,

What is your 3CX version and windows client version?
Mobile 3CX applications working?

Hey @eng5ald

In addition to what @Naveen | Cal4care asked, could you provide the following information?
  • 3CX Version, e.g. Standard Annual 16.0.2.910
  • Server OS, e.g. Debian 9 / Windows Server 2012 R2 / Raspberry Pi
  • Is the 3CX Server Hosted and where?
  • Has the Firewall Checker passed: YES / NO
  • Client is on the same network as the PBX or not?
  • Do you get a specific error message? If yes what?
  • Does this happen for all PCs/Windows clients on this network or just one?
  • You mention placing calls, does receiving calls work?
  • Can you reach the 3CX Management Console from the PC running the Windows client with https://xxx.3cx.com:5001?

Thanks for your reply @ChrisC_3CX and @Naveen | Cal4care

we facing this issue only on 3cx Windows client version : 16.3.0.198

  1. 3CX Version: Professional Annual 16.0.1078
  2. Server OS Windows Server 2019
  3. Has the Firewall Checker passed: NO
  4. Client is on the same network as the PBX or not? Yes same Network
  5. Do you get a specific error message? No only Call Failed
  6. Does this happen for all PCs/Windows clients on this network or just one? Not all Pcs
  7. You mention placing calls, does receiving calls work? Yes he can receiving call
  8. Can you reach the 3CX Management Console from the PC running the Windows client with https://xxx.3cx.com:5001? Yes can reach the 3CX Management Console

First off, I would recommend that you make sure the required ports have been forwarded to 3CX and then completely pass the Firewall Checker. I know other 3CX Windows Clients work but still, getting this out of the way would be ideal.

The received calls, do they work ok? (Two way audio is fine, etc..)

Is the 3CX Windows client set to use the 3CX Tunnel? Check in Management Console >> Extensions >> Edit extension in question >> Phone Provisioning tab >> Select "3CX App" from drop-down list, make sure that "Use 3CX Tunnel for remote connections (3CX App only)" is enabled. If it wasn't, enable it and reprovision the client.

Make sure that the 3CX Windows Client can detect your Microphone and Speaker devices in Settings >> Audio Options >> Microphone/Speaker. Select them and apply settings.

we are running 3cx since 3 years

All required ports are enabled

all extension are functioning properly until an update is installed in the windows client - then the issue occur

In that case you might want to consider contacting one of our 3CX Partners as this issue would require a more in depth investigation which is something our partners can help you with.

Hello @eng5ald,

I agree with @ChrisC_3CX.

Also please check if any pending windows updates? And try to re-install the 3CX windows client(v16.3.0.198) and check again.
