Hi,

We have sucessfully installed the Hubspot CRM Integration - Server-side and would like to log calls from the respective Agents extension to the correspondent user in Hubspot.

Would this be possible? Right now all calls are logged as unassigned / see image below:

From Hubspot support: It seems that the call made through 3cx is attached to the extension and not to the contact owner

Thank you in advance!Screenshot_15.png

Yes, this is a limitation of Hubspot. It doesn't have the ability to store the user's phone extension like Salesforce or Zoho. So, there's no way to match who talked with the contact.

Thanks Frederick, I guess we will be reverting back to sync it to our Salesforce Org.

As Frederick stated, the problem is that to do that we would need to query for the Hubspot user having a specific extension, but this is not possible. Then, the activity is created and assigned to the contact only.

Thank you Ernesto, already requested as a feature in Hubspot community and will revert to Salesforce 3cx Integration for the time being.

We use Hubspot internally and have written a 3CX Phone for Windows plugin to do this. It is not one of our commercial products, but let me know what you need and we can get you a solution. I should mention that as a client-side solution it does require more administration than a server-side application but it affords a lot more flexibility than what is available through the 3CX server-side approach.

In retrospect, if I were to build the integration today, I would use our VoIPTools API to subscribe to 3CX events and eliminate the dependency on 3CX Phone for Windows. I might do that just to simplify our lives here at VoIPTools.

Hi Matthew, Thanks for you reply.
We simply want to log outgoing calls to the respective contact and the sales agent that made or received the call to/from the customer.

You might wanna create a middleware between 3CX and HubSpot that would have a matching-table for Extension=UserID or Email. Then, that middleware could take the info from 3CX and add that to HubSpot using the table as reference for which user has ext 100 for example.

Hi Frederick,
thanks for providing a work around. However this it out of our league....
We still have Salesforce, will log the calls there for now...

thanks!

I'd be interested in learning more! Could be interesting.
