I am trying to build an autoresponder with Twilio Studio. I have figured out how to do the autoresponder part in Twilio, but I also need all of the SMS for the number to be send to the 3CX instance, too.

Twilio Studio has a "Make HTTP Request" option, but what I don't know is what goes into the HTTP Request fields.

I have to pass the payload, but I don't know what I need to pass, and how. Can anybody help me out?

Hi @oguruma1218

I think you will have better chances asking Twilio about this since 3CX is not involved in the process prior to receiving the message. If someone here has done something similar perhaps they will be able to assist you but I would also ask Twilio to speed things up.

Twilio told me to "ask 3CX." In the Studio Flow designer there is a tool to map the HTTP parameters to send to the 3CX instance. That's the part that I can't figure out.

I guess let's first understand what you are actually trying to accomplish. If you are already autoresponding to the SMS, why does it need to go to 3CX? Considering 3CX hasn't had SMS ability for very long, what were you doing before it did?

What I am after is a simple autoresponder (using Twilio Studio for that portion), that will also push the SMS to 3CX.

So, if somebody sends me an SMS of "eBook" Twilio Studio will respond with "go to www.ebook.com to claim your free eBook". I might also make a Webhook that will send that to Mautic for automated follow-up.

But, I also want to push that SMS to 3CX so somebody can follow up with them, directly from that number.

What's the point? I send out mailers every month with specific offers (eBook, whatever). Before, Twilio studio would send the Ebook URL, and then also send an SMS to my cellphone. I would then have to follow-up with them from my personal cellphone.

I did sort it out. The key is to create an HTTP request in Twilio Studio that mimics the format (in this case, URL-encoded) that Twilio will use by default.

So, now if you send an SMS of eBook, Twilio Studio will reply with "here's your eBook" and I still have the same 3CX SMS functionality.

Pretty neat.

Ahh ok. I haven't played with Twilio much but I was wondering if Twilio allowed you to forward the SMS to another number and you could have that number tied to 3CX but it looks like you figured it out. Nice work.

Yepp, Twilio Studio will let you do that, as well. It's just a bit more streamlined if you can make it all work form the same number, I think.

Working with Twilio Studio is not something we planned on, so it is not supported.
