The email sent by the 3cx system does not configure the 3cx phone correctly in my very specific instance. The internal IP address in the email attachment is incorrect. It is showing the internal IP address of an old configuration ,which was replaced a long time ago. All other settings are correct. (user, password, re-provisioning url, external IP address etc).

My System settings from management console

From settings -->phone provisioning
internal ip=192.168.35.5
external ip = 68.105.xx.xx
settings -->tunnel -->local ip = 192.168.35.5

Now, when using the email attachment to configure the myphone.
Setting of inoffice server 3cxphone = 192.168.1.106 (old ip address of phone system over a year and several backups ago)

If I assign an extension to the 3cxphone through the phone setting menu in the management console it works perfectly.

I guess my question, is where does the management console pull the ip address to generate the attachment that is emailed.

Any ideas :)

Mat

Hi Matt,

can you please follow the next procedure and tell me if this helps you solve your problem?

1. open the management console
2. go to "Settings"
3. go to "Phone provisioning"
4. check if the ip there is correct and then click Apply (click apply even if the ip there is already correct),

delete the accounts in your 3CXPhone, exit, send email with provisioning file, download and double click the attached provisioning file to provision 3CXPhone by email.

Please let me know if this has worked for you and if you have any further inquiries feel free to contact us.

Best regards

Thanks Andreas,

That fixed it.

I can confirm that the correct IP was displayed, but prior to clicking apply settings the email config file did contain the wrong internal IP address.

After clicking apply settings, and re-sending the email, the correct internal IP address was applied in the new email config file.
(So its probably a small bug in the upgrade)

Thanks, and I appreciate the support from the 3cx team.

Regards,

Mat
