Believing there is a problem with the 3cx v7 IVR security configuration --
I am having trouble having the softphone in desktop mode dial another extension and recieve a
"deskphone requires http access to trigger remote locations."
In post p41103 (http://www.3cx.com/forums/voip-client-v7-8074.html#p41103) it talks about how you should be able to paste a url in IE to remote call the function. It references post 41585 (http://www.3cx.com/forums/version-7-api-info-8155.html#p41585)
When I use the link
"http://192.168.1.33:5484/PbxAPI.aspx?func=make_call&from=211&to=221&pin=211" from my machine (on local network), I receive
"Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"
On the actual 3cx server, I paste the same link into IE and receive a
"TCX.PBXAPI.OperationFailed at TCX.PBXAPI.PBXConnection.MakeCall(String dn_from, String number_to) at Utils.MakeCall(NameValueCollection paramz)"
which seems quite promissing (assuming I only goofed a parameter up somewhere).
Calling 192.168.1.33:5484 from non-3cx server machine returns 'page not found' error.
Calling 192.168.1.33:5484 from the server retrieves some xml.
I've tried turing the windows firewall on my desktop off - no change. It would seem that the rules that are defined would allow for any outbound port access anyway.
Is there a setting on the 3cx server that needs to be checked so that remote machines can execute the calls via http? Or is it a local issue?
I post this in hopes that
1) someone can help me.
2) that if the install needs to be changed that it can be added to the issue list for 3cx.
3cx seems fully operational otherwise.
Configuration (all patched):
Remote: Vista, sp1, latest 3cx client.
Server: w2008, iis
Cheers
Dean.
