New 3CX Enterprise install. All Yealink and softphones work. However, we have three analog lines for alarms and elevator phone that are connected via a Grandstream HT-814 via FXS. All extensions are green in 3CX. When we try to call out (to an external number) on those lines we get a "your call cannot be completed..." message. Internal dialing works.

If I provision a softphone using that ext, I get the same behaviour when I dial externally, internal numbers work fine. Wireshark tells me of the 407 Proxy Authentication Required error.

Our SIP trunk has a blank Outbound Proxy field. If I put the trunk info in there, the SIP stays down (red). Same situation if I use the IP of 3CX server. The SIP trunk will only come up if I leave the Outbound proxy blank. And I think that's the issue.

Any suggs on how I can get these three lines to call out?

Is this on calls using the gateway? Is this a message from your provider? Does the 3CX Activity log show calls routing to the correct trunks, and the correct digits being sent? What SIP error message is showing in the log, the 407? Not all providers require that the Outbound Proxy be used. Which provider are you using?

407 proxy authentication is a normal message during a call and is used to identify the caller. You should check who requests the 407 and if the response is ok. The outbound proxy has nothing to do with the 407 proxy authentication.
