Ability to see an extensions DND status with BLF's

Hello,

i would like to request a feature on behalf of one of our customers.

His old PBX, which we replaced with a nice 3CX system, had the ability to see an extensions DND status with the BLF on other phones. When an employee is not available he or she hits the DND button (or *60 / *61 with 3CX), at that point the BLF light for that extension starts to blink red or stays solid red on other phones. Other employees are able to see that his or her colleague is unavailable at that moment.

We use this feature for our home based employees. It is running out of our Askozia after Askozia was bought by 3cx and we are reluctant to switch over we would also be happy about this feature.

+1 I have clients asking for this feature on a regular basis. The Yealink phones support it but 3CX doesn't send the necessary information to the phones.

+1 Grandstream 2135 use a solid green for available, fast-flashing red for ringing, and solid red for engaged, so wouldn't know what you could do. The Telrad PBX we had would slow-flash the BLFs red to show DND.

Yealink added the feature in their latest Firmware, however, it's not working with 3CX yet and the 3CX firmware from yealink isn't released. I contacted 3CX and their waiting on Yealink to provide the update. The estimated is 1-3 months.
