Our legacy app has not been updated in a while and its architecture is out of date. But all the existing features and functionalities of the app should work seamlessly. On another note, the current installation process of the app requires Local admin rights and it involves ongoing administrative efforts. Furthermore, the provisioning must be done via PNP on local LAN OR download of config file (U8).
In light of this, I highly recommend considering the adoption of the Progressive Web App (PWA) as an alternative.
PWA offers numerous benefits one of the key advantages is its zero admin requirement, as it offers automatic updates. Furthermore, the PWA is secure as it runs within the browser in its security framework and libraries.
By utilizing PWA, you can streamline the deployment process and reduce the burden of administrative tasks.
I strongly encourage you to explore the advantages of PWA further.
