abusive ip blacklist issue

Frequently I need to use another public IP address to unblock ourselves.

I've increased the number of failed attempts to the max of my comfort level and I've tried whitelisting our public IP but this doesn't seem to work.

Recommendations?

Whitelist works great. Just don’t convert the auto deny entry to an allow entry as the expiry date will cause it to auto delete at expiry of the previous deny entry. Delete the deny entry and make a new allow entry.
