Access Voicemail from a remote location

We use our 3CX on an Executive Suite Center environment. Hence, many of our clients might call from an outside location to try and review/pick up their voicemails. Does anyone has any idea how to access the voicemail feature remotely?

You have to go into voicemail via the Digital receptionist or a line going directly into the VM access number. At this point there is no way to "break through" your outgoing message and access you own messages, unfortunately. Put a comment in the feature request forum.

In 3CX PBX there is the special system extension which provides you access to your voice mail box (special menu of extension). This extension can be dialed from IVR, can be the forwarding option of IVR, can be specified as destination of inbound/DID rule.

Where do I find the Special System Extension?

System extensions are Voicemail, Operator extension and the conference extensions.

Voicemail > Default is 999 for a 3 number length installation
Operator > Default 100

These settings can be found in the Management Console > settings > General

As for the Conferencing extension which is 700 by default.
These settings can be found in the Management Console > settings > Advanced > "conferencing" tab.

IVR: (Interactive Voice Response, aka. Digital- Receptionist): An automated system designed to guide a caller through the options of a voice menu. You can create as many as you want from the 3CX Management console, Digital receptionist.
