Adding Letters or Numbers to incoming calls for an extension

Is there a way to add something so caller id would show that an incoming call is coming from a number. We are taking over a organization that will do a call forward all from their main line to our system and want a way to distinguish that from other incoming calls? Thank you

You could give the inbound rule a name for ex:




When a call arrives on that did, you see Company XXX:"number of caller"

If the originator is simply call forwarding, and you see the original caller ID and not that of the forwarding party, then the only way to distinguish is to have the calls forwarded to a specific number (3CX trunk group or DID), then do as above, adding a name/number prefix or suffix.
If it is a fair amount of traffic, a single DID may not suffice, you may have to establish a temporary trunk group that can handle several calls at a time..
