Adding new Ported Number to 3CX PBX

Hi All,

I have a V18 up to date 3CX PBX installed on a Raspberry Pi with a Gradwell trunk with a single phone number.
The single number isn't my main number, this (main number) is being ported from a previous ISP landline provider.
I intend to keep the "new" number as well as adding the ported number.

I only pay for the moment for a single call at any one time, but will have the two numbers.

I want to direct each number to a different phone.

The ported number I want to go to my already installed Grandstream H801 ATA which will have a BT DECT phone attached (Siemens Gigabit attached atm)
The "new" number (used to setup the trunk) can go to any of my other phones like one of the two Yealink T23G desk phones.

I assumed that once the porting by Gradwell is done that there is a simple config to direct my new number to the ATA and that the only config required is via the 3CX PBX management console?
e.g. User / (Select Extension Number) / Configure DID (the "new" number goes to this at present)

Confirmation/Help/Comments appreciated.

You can do this by adding inbound rules. Each inbound rule can pertain to each specific number and point to an extension you'd like it to. More on inbound rules here: https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/inbound-did-call-routing/

Assuming we are talking of info from config pages and not physical connection (= Ethernet to same broadband router that the PBX is on) then there are LOTS both in the 3CX PBX on the Pi and in the Grandstream H801.

On the PBX the ATA is configured under Advanced/ "FXS/DECT" but there are only two tabs "General" & "Extensions" and neither have and ref to the fixed line phone number.

Under "Extensions" is just that in my case "103 Gg St "

Looking under "103 Gg St" under "General" are things like "Outbound caller ID" and Direct Inbound Dialling" (DID) both of which atm refer to the "new" fixed line number not the number to be ported.

No other references to fixed line numbers I can see.

I can't immediately see that the fixed-line number would be in the ATA config itself, but I will look, quite a few pages to check in this case.

First off, the Grandstream H801 is supported by 3CX as an FXS Gateway meaning it's only use is to allow you to connect analogue devices to the PBX. It has nothing to do with the ported DID number.

If the number has been ported to Gradwell it means that, if you have not done so already, you will have to edit the Gradwell SIP Trunk in the "Management Console >> SIP Trunks" section, click on DIDs and add the number there.

You can then go to "Inbound Rules", create a DID Inbound Rule, select that specific DID and configure the rule to route calls to the extension number you are using on your H801 ATA.

All the above is provided that the old number has been ported to Gradwell and under the same Gradwell SIP trunk account you currently have configured with the new number.
