Hello everyone,

We are currently using 3CX Version 18.0 Update 9 (Build 31).
In our production facility, some manufacturing staff use DECT phones as extensions. Originally, these DECT extensions were set up to block external calls outside business hours. The office phones were not affected.

We now intend to modify or remove this restriction.

As a result, the "Disable External Calls" option found under \Users\User\Options\Restrictions\ automatically activates based on the initially set schedule.

Unfortunately, the ability for individual setting adjustments seems to have disappeared for the admin. The only option I am aware of that affects all users globally is under \Settings\General\, which is "Automatically disable outgoing calls outside business hours".

I have two questions:

1)
I would like to remove the restriction for DECT users. What is the best way to do this?

2)
If I want to change the settings for some DECT users, how can I do this? Is it possible to temporarily enable the web client for these DECT user (one by one), and if so, where would I find this setting, perhaps in the Edge PWA?

Thank you for your help.

Hi there.

If you login to your Webclient as a System owner, you will have an admin panel there, and this will give you the option you need, and you can adjust it on the user:

You are welcome.
Does it work now as you expected?

Hello,

Unfortunately, it is not working.
I am using V18!

In the old admin console, I deleted all entries under "Language & Office Hours Settings".
I believe this setting will be obsolete in V20.
See Image A.

As the system owner, I set office hours for the relevant group.
See Image B.

The settings for user 280 have been adjusted accordingly.
See Image C.

User 280 can still make external calls.

Since you don't have a global time set, you should set the time per user, and use the second option for the specific hours. As right now your system is always available so its expected that the system allow the call.

How can I set the "global time" so that I don't have to configure it for each user individually?

In the actual PBX system, image A that you show in last reply.

Sorry, it does not work.

So now your system is in office hours correct?

Are you now able to make the call or not? If not, take the option off the one that disables external calls in the user settings option (\Users\User\Options\Restrictions), as it will be automatically added when its the time, as right now it is forced to not allow you the call.

The global Office Hours are Mo - Su, 08:00 - 17:00 (old console, loggend in as admin)
The Office Hours for today are 11:00 - 18:00 (new admin console, webclient, logged in as system owner)
User 280 should not be able to make (external) call. But user 280 can make a call.
What I am doing wrong?

What it the timezone for the Global PBX settings, as well as for the Group settings that you have there, are they different?
After you apply the settings, did you restart the services?

Thank you. That was my mistake, a beginner's error. The reason was that the services were not restarted.
