AI Agent using UK Voice

Does anyone know how to change the AI agent voice to a UK voice?

Hi,

The AI voices are provided by OpenAI and are a bit on the American side of English tone - still, I have had some good results by adding
"- You use a British English intonation, choice of phrasing and language patterns. Avoid Americanisms." or similar. Give it a try. Also changing the welcome message to a more British one can help set the tone.

Its Ok I have worked out where to paste the text.

It is slightly better but there is still an american style voice on occasions.

Stick in "..in the voice of Stephen Fry" somewhere and hope for the best

Do switch around with the different Voice Style settings - all are fairly american, but some take those prompt instructions better. Point of note, the instructions being added really go to the text generation engine, not the text-to-voice engine, so there is a limit to their effectiveness..

I have gone though all Voice Styles and the only one that sounds close to UK is "ballad".

We will set up with this for testing.

I also changed the Voice Style to ballad as this was the only one that sounded anything remotely like UK English.

I do think 3CX should provide better voice options for AI Voice Style country specific.

It is an oddity of English (perhaps Spanish too?) that the accents provided by OpenAI are all american - non-english languages sound normal for their core country. As the things mature and more voice models become available this is likely to be solved, for now we are providing all the options we can.
