All contacts gone from phonebook

Morning all,

V20 U7 B1080

I've had a report today that all contacts have gone from the address book.

I've checked and can confirm it is empty.

The audit logs for any point in time show nothing for "Section: Contacts" or "Microsoft 365 Integ.."

I have confirmed that editing / purging contacts does show something in activity log.

Is there any way I can figure this one out?

Same issue here – after updating to the Beta, all contacts are gone. I think this happened because it's now possible to select the department phonebook in the admin view.

They were company contacts everyone could see.

@Alphabetic - please confirm you are talking about the stable update 7.

I don't know for sure how much can be dug into this without a ticket though. Is the machine self hosted? You mention M365, were the contacts via that, or added in the PBX directly?

Version 20.0 Update 7 (Build 1080 Release)

The machine is self hosted, 365 sync wasnt enabled.

The contacts were directly on 3CX.

According to the event log the last update was 16/11/2025

And you are looking as system owner, no chance it's just hidden from the user that looked for them?

I've done a system restore from Saturday and all the contacts have come back but nothing in audit log from the weekend as to what happened.

I can't reproduce that.
If the upgrade to the yesterday's beta 20.0.8.878 (not today's 20.0.8.1019) is performed, then all systemwide contacts remain where they are: systemwide. DEFAULT is empty then.
