Hello!

We have activated the Office 365 calendar integration for our whole organization.

Therefore, if an employee is in a meeting, the 3CX status will automatically change to busy / do not disturb.

We want to configure 3CX so that it is still possible to call when the status is "do not disturb". (Therefore the status is just for informing the reception staff)
Is this possible?

Thanks a lot in advance and best regards!
Simon

The title of your post suggests that the caller is on the phone and wants to receive a call waiting notification, when a second call comes in. That can be done. Overriding the Do not disturb, for some calls, is another matter. It is not simply a status indicator for some departments. Have you gone over all of the call forward options for the extension? I don't think you are going to be able to set a status, then have it be ignored for actual calls.

I think what you actually mean/need, is there a way to have MS365 sync calendar status (eg. busy) to another status in 3CX?
You want for example MS365 'busy' to map to 'available' (so calls do come in) and 'out of office' to map to 'do not disturb' and 365's 'working remotely' to some other 3CX status you have.

Thank you for your fast replies! :-)

Basically I want employees to be reachable internally even when their status is "busy". External calls should still be forwarded redirected to a queue.

Another possible solution would be that MS365 sync changes to another status like the alternative availability status.

Thank you!
