Hi Everyone!

I know this has been asked on the forums for a number of years, and I am happy to use a third party app - however, I have been requested for the ability for the receptionist to not only be able to change the users' status (that bit is easy) however they would also like to be able to change the status message.

This would be useful for giving others visibility to a status message when people are off sick, meetings, PAs who manage CEOs etc.
* Large office environments.
* Remote staff.
* Hapless staff. :-D

Any thoughts?

Hi @Sean_Glasspool,

This post would belong in the Ideas Forum. Gold partners and above can post ideas to the ideas section. I personally like the idea, and it would be nice to see it added to the Ideas Forum.

This should be possible using the 3CX Call Control API. I would envision a web page, accessible after providing credentials, where a list of extensions is displayed in a grid. For example:

ExtFirstLastPresenceNote
100MatthewOrrLunchBack at 1:30
101AdamOrrAvailable
102SamuelOrrAwayVacation until 5/28

The receptionist would select the desired presence setting from a drop-down, and type an optional note.

We can help.

I figured this might be the case. I was looking for the API's to do this!
I assume you don't have a prebuilt module?

Cheers
