ALLOWUSE ??

In a blog post from 2010 there is reference to a custom option "ALLOWUSEBUSYOPTIONFORGROUP" which tells the 3CX whether to use what it knows, or the phone status, to determine whether the phone is busy.

In my SP6 the option is called "ALLOWUSEBUSYOPTFORGROUP" which is truncated word OPTION, can anyone confirm what is SHOULD be for correct operation?

ALLOWUSEBUSYOPTFORGROUP is correct name.

ALLOWUSEBUSYOPTFORGROUP allows you to see and answer and incoming call while you are using that particular handset. set value to 1 to enable use of phone busy status. I had the same thing come up at a customers site recently.
