15.5 Update 4 brought with it a feature called "Alternative 3CX Supported Firmware". Is there any documentation on this other than the blog post announcing the release of Update 4? I ticked the checkbox in settings and don't know what I expected to be different. My phone with 'too new for 3CX' Yealink firmware still says Not Supported.

Does this mean I can add firmware to the firmware/yealink folder and it'll allow me to upgrade my phones to that? I'm just... not sure what this feature really does and can't find documentation on it.

Hello @giwm

Check also this video explaining this in some more detail
Basically, after enabling this option, go to the Updates section of the PBX. If there are multiple supported versions of firmware for your phones, you will be able to download them from updates. Now after downloading them, if you go to Dashboard >> Phones and click on the +Firmware button, you will be presented with all the available options, so you can choose which one to use.

Gotcha. Thank you!

You're welcome, glad to help

I have this function too in my dashboard, but I cannot update the firmware on my phones. The reboot but still have the same unsupported version.
