Hi
@Aaronb160 ,
It really depends the way I see it. You can absolutely do what my colleague said, install multiple 3CX installations under the same AWS account which will be under your control. However in this case you would be the "owner" of all VMs. If your business logic is that you will be doing it a bit like SaaS, then this makes sense.
If on the other hand, you want to 'simulate' what happens with on-prem equipment, where you install it, set it up for the customer, and thereon after they contact you and give you access for maintenance, etc, then it makes more sense to have your customers create their own AWS account, set up their own billing, then give you the information in steps 1-2 in
this guide, then from YOUR Partner Portal, create a trial key for the Customer and you can set it up for them.
If you are exploring different options, I would suggest also looking into the "Hosted by 3CX". What you would do in this case is:
- From your Partner Portal account, create a trial license for your new customer
- Upgrade the license key Sim Calls or Edition depending on what the customer wants
- Then still from your account, deploy a new "Hosted by 3CX" installation
- That's it!
Generally the installations we as 3CX host, we have a dedicated team monitoring the VMs and keeping them up to date, so this has less things you have to do. Also you become the point of contact for this customer, so for the recurring annual payments you are notified to handle it.
