Hello,

I am seeing some oddities with 3CX and the ability to register/make calls over WiFi. This is happening on the latest versions of the Android and iOS app although I've had more reports of it being problematic with the Android app. The clients are running Android version 16.3.0.81.

I have two 3CX v16 U5 installations, both running on Windows Server 2016 Standard servers that are experiencing the same problem. They updated to U5 last Sunday and behaved absolutely fine last week with these issues starting over the weekend.

When connected to WiFi, the apps will not register or connect. As soon as the phones are disconnected from WiFi and revert to 4G, they connect fine. The users are remote workers using BT / Sky / TalkTalk connections in the UK.

Antivirus exceptions are in for the and no WiFi/firewall restrictions are in force. The sites are completely unrelated to each other.

Looking at the firewall, I can see the inbound traffic on 5001/5090 from the respective phones being forwarded to the VMs.

Has anyone else had this?

Many thanks,

Jamie

Having the exact same problem this morning with our 3CX install. Had both IOS & Android users saying the same thing. We've gone with the 'if it aint broke don't fix it' route and not updated anything with everyone working from home. I can guess the only change made is that users may have updated their Apps though.

Got it, thanks. A couple of the users are using BT Broadband but unsure if they're using/paying for BT's protection / safe filtering system or not. Atleast one user is using Sky so that does explain it.

I'm using BT with filtering (comes as part of the package) and not had any issues.
