Why it's a option to be turned on ?
Any emergency number should/must be call with GSM for localization, callback, etc.. no?

Well... If the PBX is in US and one customer is working there, then its emergency number is 911. If you're connected on the same PBX but you're in France, your emergency is 112 or 17, while me, if I would be connected to the same PBX but in Cyprus, I would have 112 and 199. Therefore, the US PBX admin would have a serious headache to don't assign 911, 112, 199 and 17 as PBX numbers. So, using that toggle option, each of us would decide the proper handling.

Ohhh I got it. I was thinking that the emergency number put on 3CX will trigger the option.

We also need those calls to be recorded. And our control room needs to be able to listen/barge them to support our staff at various events/etc.

There's 3 reasons...
