Not sure whats going on here. I have new installation of V16.0.525 running on a windows 10 PC. The latest Android Beta client on an Huawie P30. V16.0.4.393. If I try to connect I get an error message saying Unsupported Server Version 3cx app requires 3cx Server version 16.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

looks like you are running Alpha Update 3, can you upgrade to Beta Update 3 and tell if the issue still exists. We will update the Message to be more "explicit" on the required version.

As of this morning, I am getting a similar error message as above on my Andriod phone. The message reads "3CX app required 3CX Server Version 16. Upgrade 3CX and re-launch the app to complete the QR provisioning process." My phone app is currently ver 16.1.0.41. I was not aware if it was upgraded, as I didn't not upgrade the app manually.

Also getting a similar error message as above on my Andriod phone. Samsung J6. Upgraded the app and issue persists.

We recommend to update your PBX to V16 Update 3 so you can take full advantage of our latest app.

In case you are on PBX V15.5, just follow our latest blog post below and we have a link to the legacy version of the app that will work with the older PBX.

The new android client version 16.1.0.41 is compatible with PBX v16 so if you are getting the above message probably the PBX is not updated.

Regarding the autoupdate of the client this is a setting in Playstore which applies to all of your applications. If setting autoupdate is ON then playstore will update the application once a new version is released. You can set this OFF globally or per application from your playstore settings.

In case you need to go back to previous android client for compatibility issues you will have to uninstall and reinstall legacy client which can be found here

Thank you! I was able to install the legacy app ver 15.5 per the link above and did not have to uninstall the latest 3CX app off my LG K20 android phone. I also updated my Playstore setting to not auto-update.

Works great again!
