Android v 7.0 Phone ringing but no answer decline buttons..

Hi @easydoner,

Can you provide more detail? https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/every-new-post-must-contain.20492/

Can you provide a screenshot of what you're seeing?
1. The subject must be a short summary of the problem including the version:
- Phone ringing but no answer decline buttons
not in lockscreen nor in desktop screen nor when app is opened
- 3cx version 16.7.5.103
- calling when connected to wifi or LTE, no difference

2. We will need the following information filled out and added to the intro of the post:
  • Phone Model: meiigoo s8
  • Android Version: Android 7.0
  • App Version: 16.7.5.103
  • Client is not on the same network as the PBX, PBX is a 3cx cloud version

In case for some reason the permission for the 3CX App weren't given, could you check the Androind Permissions for 3CX and check that all are enabled? Especially the Notifications any permission about pop-up screens.

@easydoner
As an additional note: we don't have and therefore cannot test this meiigoo model (me, at least, I never heard of it). A screenshot at least would increase chances to figure out if it's a 3CX client problem or a "small customization" of original Android 7.

Where should I make a screenshot of?

Of the screen while it's ringing.

One more question, while your phone is ringing, if you pull down the notifications from the top, would you happen to see the incoming call there?
Also, if you have just opened the App, then you make an incoming call, does the App then ring?

Nothing happens on the screen.
The incoming call isn"t visible while in the notifications bar while the phone is ringing.
When the app is open and I'm being called, nothing changes.
When the call stops I get a notification about a missed call...
The phone rings allright, just no accept or decline button.
Tried to upload avideo but it's too large (9 MB).

In the 3CX App Menu, go to Settings --> Advanced and try unchecking the the first option that is "Car/Bluetooth support (Telecom API)". Then kill the app, relaunch it, make an outbound call to make sure that works.

After this, try an incoming call again. Does the same happen?

There's no "Car/Bluetooth support (Telecom API)" option.

So you don't see this option here?

No, first option is "Echo Cancellation" (btw, the app is in the dutch language).

@easydoner
It means your meiigoo device has no hardware support for Telecom API at all.

Do you know, are other 3rd party comm apps - like WhatsApp, for instance - working OK on this device, are they showing the notification on their incoming calls?

Also, could you send us the client log?
- go to client Settings/ Advanced and on the bottom turn on "Verbose logging"
- exit the client (I mean, swipe the app up to) then start it again
- reproduce the issue
- open again Settings/Advanced, at the bottom tap "Send log report" so you can collect it and send it to me and/or Nick by PM.

Installed whatsapp, there's a notification and I can take the call.
Send the verbose log by PM

You need to upgrade to a newer android and more mainstream phone please. Android 7 is way too old

Not my phone. Customer is attachted to his phone...
