Hello,

We finally upgraded to v20. Due to some 24/7 agression alerting requirements it couldn't be taken down earlier for updates.

Now we noticed the extention warning.

Most of our employees don't have a desk and walk around the area all day (school like).
So we have a lot of extentions that act like short dials (1 second forward to mobile) due to missing seperate short dial options.
Or we missed it in v18 besides the outgoing rules method but then things are split in 2 (rules and users)
which means ping pong'ing between these list to look up free numbers.

Will 3CX keep this in mind with future updates when counting extentions so that it doesn't count forwarder extentions?

It would be overkill to buy 64SC (pro) instead of 8SC (Pro) which means an increase of more than €2000 while we barely go over 4 sim call and most extentions are plain forwarders.

If I go for 8SC again how much time will I get to modify things (like moving extentions to outgoing rules) ?

The extension limit are defined here https://www.3cx.com/ordering/pricing/.

ANY extension counts towards this.

Once you reach the extension limit, you wont be able to create any new extensions or renew your license if you're over the count.

You should utilise outbound rules for short code dialing.

you can also use forwarding rules on each extension to call their mobile, theres no need for your additional short codes.

or call mobile simultaneously.

it are dead extentions without a phone or app connected to it it's just a forwarder.

I'll go for the outgoing rules then.

also nice to see that when the license expires you fall back to 0 SC.
this happend a few minutes ago.
the bill was already payed day ago but the reseller didn't activate the license yet.
2SC would make more sense then the reception could still receive a call and forward it.
A busy sound would make sense aswell instead of everybody hearing a license exceeded message even exteral callers.

It used to be that if your license expired you would drop from Pro to Basic and lose pro features.

I guess the lesson to be learnt here is, renew earlier.

your partner will get 30 days advance notice of license renewal.
