Answer by pressing x?

Hi All,

We have a client with an office, where if they press say 9 with their current PBX they can answer the reception line/extension. This is for when reception doesn't answer someone else in the office can press a number to answer it.

Whats the best way to replicate this in 3cx?

Hello @Smithy

As mentioned there are multiple ways to do this. The easiest way is to monitor the reception extension using a BLF button if the IP phone supports it. Alternatively you can use the pickup code or use a 3CX client and pick the call up through the switchboard.

All good ideas. Just to complete the options, you could also create a CFD that transfers the call to your extension. It would be a single button press using a BLF.
