Thanks, this helped with the + Numbers, but if I just dial the wrong extension (for example 1486) in 3CX, it still says, that this number is not connected to anyone. Is it possible to forward numbers like this to the default route? If your DID numbers are unassigned, they will follow the "default route" assigned on the first page on the trunk set up.
No, you'd have to first "Clear" the extension from the "Team" view and then set up a forward on that extension. Thanks, this helped with the + Numbers, but if I just dial the wrong extension (for example 1486) in 3CX, it still says, that this number is not connected to anyone. Clearing by deleting the 3CX User? It´s already deleted, the extension is not visible anymore. No, you'd have to first "Clear" the extension from the "Team" view and then set up a forward on that extension.
then you'll have to re-create it.Clearing by deleting the 3CX User? It´s already deleted, the extension is not visible anymore.
I think this will be the solution, will have to ask through, whose old extensions should be forwarded, that should be enough for usthen you'll have to re-create it.
There is no catch all for deleted extensions and outbound rules will only allow for external calling.
Be careful though.. there are limits on extension numbers based on your license.I think this will be the solution, will have to ask through, whose old extensions should be forwarded, that should be enough for us![]()
Yeah, that´s a good question... I thought, that people just stop using the extensions after the get deleted. They don´t even see the numbers anymore. I think some users have the extensions as BLFs set up and it now shows only the number and they wonder why they can´t call them anymore.Be careful though.. there are limits on extension numbers based on your license.
I'd have thought if someone called extension xyz and 3CX says "no" then they'd just call someone else.
what is the scenario this is happening in? can they not check 3CX App for availability?
Founded in 2005, when VoIP was an emerging technology, 3CX has gone on to establish itself as a global leader in business communications.
